Last November, I got to see the end result of all
the planning that I’ve been working on. This was a special
wedding because it was my sister-in-law’s. The garden themed
wedding took place at the Farm at South Mountain on a beautiful Sunday
morning. It didn’t go over 85 degrees that day, which is the
nicest it had been last year up until that day.

Under the canopy, where
the reception was held, it
felt even cooler. The
gorgeous mountains peeked
from behind the ceremony
arch, which was covered in
greenery and sunflowers.
Since the wedding was outdoors, and the bridal room was too far away to
hide the bride before the processional, a sleek black limousine carried
the wedding party right up to the end of the aisle for a grand
entrance. The female ring bearer carried a sunflower, which held the
rings, secured with ribbon.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a chicken and
brie Panini with a green salad under the canopy at the Farm.
Centerpieces included large, fresh sunflowers held in carafes and
smaller sunflowers set loose in tulle around the base. The white chair
covers complete with black sash added a classy flair to the reception.
Thanks to Jack McAlpine of Executive Services,
Amy’s Floral Design, Anna Aleman, Alicia Garcia, The Farm at
South Mountain and Santa Barbara Catering for making this wedding a
reality.
